  • Lignocaine also known as Lidocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking the transmission of pain signals from the nerves to the brain. This helps to decrease the sensation of pain.
  • Lingnocaine comes is used as a cream as well as a injectable, depending on the usage.
     

 

Uses
  • Lidocaine/Lignocaine is used for local anesthesia and Arrhythmia. Lignocaine Cream is used as a topical anesthetic that is used to produce a temporary loss of sensation in a part of the body before certain types of medical procedures such as inserting a needle, skin grafts, or other conditions as determined by the doctor or healthcare professional. It is also used to relieve pain, burning sensation, itching, and discomfort associated with minor cuts, scratches, skin irritation, insect bites, burns, etc.
  • Lignocaine Injection is an effective agent that is used to numb a specific area of the body to reduce pain and discomfort caused by surgical or other invasive medical procedures such as needle punctures, or insertion of a catheter or breathing tube. This medicine is also may be used for the management of heart rhythm disorders likely to occur during heart surgeries or a heart attack.

  •  Injection site bruising and red coloration

  •  Fast heartbeat
  •  Difficulty in breathing

  •  Swelling of face, lips, eyelids, tongue, hands and feet 
  •  Blurred vision
  •  Chills or cold sweats
  •  Dizziness when getting up suddenly from a sitting position
  •  Shaking and trembling of arms and feet
  •  Unusual tiredness and weakness
  •  Unpleasant aftertaste
  •  Ringing or buzzing in the ears
Precautions / Concerns
  •  Use of this medicine can cause Malignant hyperthermia characterized by a rapid rise in body temperature and severe muscle pain. Use of this medicine should be stopped at the first instance of this condition.
  •  The topical form of this medicine should not be applied to the eyes, ears or cracked skin surface.
  •  Use of this medicine to treat teething pain can cause severe damage to the brain and the heart.
  •  This medicine should be used with caution in patients having an impairment of normal liver function.
  •  This medicine should be used with caution in patients having an impairment of normal kidney function and pre-existing heart condition.
  •  Use of this medicine has been associated with breathing difficulties and hence it should be used with caution in patients having a preexisting breathing disorder.
Beclometasone Dipropionate
  • Beclomethasone dipropionate works by attenuating the inflammatory responses associated with asthma, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, and corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. It suppresses the actions of inflammatory cells.
  • Beclomethasone is a steroid. Betamethasone is similar to the naturally occurring steroidal hormones (hydrocortisone/cortisone) produced by the adrenal glands. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.
Uses

Beclomethasone dipropionate is a corticosteroid drug with anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictive effects used to treat chronic inflammatory processes such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.

Side Effects
  •  Body aches or pain
  •  congestion
  •  cough
  •  difficulty with breathing
  •  dryness or soreness of the throat

Precautions / Concerns
  • Beclomethasone inhalation will not work fast enough to treat an asthma attack. Use only a fast acting inhalation medicine for an asthma attack.
  • Beclomethasone inhalation is used to prevent asthma attacks in adults and childrenwho are at least 5 years old.
  • The most commonly reported adverse reactions have includedheadache, pharyngitis, rhinitis, inhalation site and taste sensation.
Ofloxacin
  • A synthetic fluoroquinolone (fluoroquinolones) antibacterial agent that inhibits the supercoiling activity of bacterial DNA gyrase, halting DNA replication.
  • It is a drug used for bacterial and parasitic infection. Ofloxacin works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria.
Uses
  • The tablet form of ofloxacin is prescribed for various bacterial infections, such as pneumonia, bronchitis, prostate infections caused by E. coli, skin infections, and some sexually transmitted diseases.
  • It is used to treat gastrointestinal infections such as acute diarrhea or dysentery, gynecological infections, lung infections and urinary infections.
Side Effects

Tell your doctor if any of the following side effects of become severe or don't go
away:

  •  Nausea, mild diarrhea, constipation, gas, or vomiting
  •  Stomach pain or cramps
  •  Loss of appetite
  •  Change in ability to taste food
  •  Headache
  •  Dry mouth
  •  Dizziness
  •  Excessive tiredness
  •  Pain, swelling, or itching of the vagina
Precautions / Concerns
  •  Diarrhea can cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids to help rehydrate you. 
  •  Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.
  •  It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
Clotrimazole

Clotrimazole is in a class of antifungal medications called imidazoles. It works by stopping the growth of fungi that cause infection.

Uses
  • Vaginal clotrimazole is used to treat vaginal yeast infections in adults and children 12 years of age and older.
  • Used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and other fungal skin infections (candidiasis). 
  • This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs.

 

 

Side Effects
  • Burning, stinging, swelling, irritation, redness, pimple-like bumps, tenderness, or flaking of the treated skin may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
  • Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
  • Tell your doctor right away if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: blistering, oozing, open sores.
  • Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
