Uses
Used to treat abnormal menstruation, menorrhagia, endometriosis, breast cancer, renal carcinoma and amenorrhea.
Side Effects
Cholestatic jaundice, insomnia, fluid retention, fatigue, dizziness, headache, nausea, weight gain, menstrual irregularity, excess bleeding and rapid heart rate.
Precautions / Concerns
Avoid if patients are allergic to Medroxyprogesterone. Do not take if a patient have asthma, diabetes, liver disease, migraine, heart disease. Do not take with barbiturate, phenytoin, rifampin, bosentan. Consult with the doctor in case of pregnancy and lactation.
