Palonosetron injection is used to prevent nausea and vomiting that is caused by cancer medicines (chemotherapy). It is also used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may occur after surgery.
Palonosetron is an antiemetic medication. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the brain that may cause nausea and vomiting during anti-cancer treatment (chemotherapy) or after surgery.

- Difficulty with bowel movements
- Dry mouth
- Chills
- Blurred vision
- Difficulty in breathing
- Chest discomfort
- Dizziness
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary.
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age for prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting since the safety and efficacy of use for this indication are not clinically established.
