Nateglinide is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medicine is not for treating type 1 diabetes.

Nateglinide is an anti-diabetic medication. It increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas which prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals.

• Slurred speech

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless necessary.

This medicine is not recommended for use in children since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

This medicine should be used with extreme caution due to the increased risk of sudden hypoglycemia.
