Magaldrate is used in the treatment of Duodenal Ulcer, Dyspepsia, Gastroesophageal Reflux.

It is also used to treat Heartburn, Hernia, Hiatal Stomach ulcers.

It may be used for chronic kidney failure.

Magaldrate is used in the prevention of Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage.

Magaldrate is an antacid. It is an inorganic salt that neutralises the excess acid in stomach.

• Constipation
• Diarrhea
• Chalky taste
• Stomach cramps
• Nausea and Vomiting

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. 

Use of this medicine may increase the magnesium levels in the blood.

This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from kidney diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects

Magaldrate may interact with many other medicines and may decrease the efficacy of the coadministered medicines.

• The liquid form may contain phenylalanine. Talk to your doctor before using this form of simethicone if you have phenylketonuria (PKU).
