Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Uses
Used to treat Dysmenorrhea, Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, pain and acute gout.
Side Effects
Indigestion, stomach pain, chest pain, tremor, loss of appetite, skin itching, swelling, rashes, blurred vision and ringing of ears.
Precautions / Concerns
Avoid if a patients are allergic to Ketoprofen. Do not take if patients have heart failure, renal impairment. Do not take with ticlopidine, phenytoin, aspirin.
