Nepafenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary.
This medicine should be used with caution due to the increased risk of bleeding from the eyes.
This medicine should be used with caution due to the increased risk of corneal damage or keratitis.
Your doctor may ask you to stop the usage of contact lenses for up to a few days prior to the surgery and for up to a few days to a few months post-surgery depending on the type of eye surgery performed.
Use of this medicine may cause symptoms such as blurred vision or dizziness in some patients.
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 10 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
Women of childbearing potential are advised to use an effective form of contraception during treatment with this medicine.
