Calcium Citrate 1250.00 mg + Magnesium Citrate 100.00 mg + Vitamin D3 1000.00 IU + Zinc Sulphate 7.50 mg
Calcium Citrate

Works by providing the necessary calcium in people with reduced calcium levels.

Uses

Calcium Citrate is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who do not get enough calcium from their diets. It may be used to treat conditions caused by low calcium levels such as bone loss, weak bones, decreased activity of the parathyroid gland and a certain muscle disease.

  •  Mental/mood changes
  •  Bone/muscle pain

  •  Increased thirst/urination

Precautions / Concerns

  •  This medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast- feeding.

Magnesium Citrate
  • Magnesium citrate is an osmotic laxative which comes in a liquid form. It is a combination of the element magnesium that is bound to citric acid.
  • Magnesium citrate belongs to group of drugs known as saline laxatives, which work by pulling more water into the colon in order to help the colon empty its contents.
Uses
  • Magnesium Citrate is used for the treatment of constipation.
  • It may be used to treat occasional constipation, acid indigestion, or in prescribed amounts, it is used to help clear the large intestine of stool before a test (such as for a colonoscopy), procedure, or operation on the digestive system.
Side Effects

 

  •  Stomach and intestinal issues like gas, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, andstomach cramping
  •  High levels of magnesium in your bloodstream
  •  Imbalance in your electrolytes, or levels of minerals and compounds likesodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, and phosphate in your blood
Precautions / Concerns
  •  If you are allergic to magnesium citrate or any of its inactive ingredients, you should not take magnesium citrate.
  •  You should not take magnesium citrate if you are on a low-sodium or restricted-sodium diet.
  •  If you suffer from chronic or long-term constipation, you should not take magnesium citrate - it&#39;s not safe for daily, long-term, or   frequent treatment of constipation.
  • Take it atleast 2 hours after taking other medicines, as it may interfere with the absorption of other medicines.

Generic Name: cholecalciferol 

Vitamin D3 is needed for normal absorption of calcium and phosphorus, which is further utilized for development and maintenance of bones and teeth. This makes bones stronger and reduces risk for bone fractures.  Vitamin D3 also has a role in ones nerve, muscle, and immune systems.

People who might need extra vitamin D3 include

  •  Older adult
  •  Breastfed infants
  •  People with dark skin
  •  People with certain conditions, such as liver diseases, cystic fibrosis and Crohn's disease
  •  People who have obesity or have had gastric bypass surgery

 

Uses

Symptoms of vitamin D3 deficiency include bone pain, muscle weakness, fatigue, and mood changes. Vitamin D3 is used for treating osteoporosis, rickets, osteomalacia, renal osteodystrophy and hypoparathyroidism.
