Pyrazinamide is an antitubercular medicine. In the body, it gets converted to pyrazinoic acid. This pyrazinoic acid inhibits fatty acid synthase I (bacterial enzyme), which is essential for bacterial growth. Thus, it works as a bacteriocidal to prohibit their growth and treats tuberculosis. It should be taken with other medicines to prevent the spread of infection. 
 

Pyrazinamide is used to treat tuberculosis (TB) in adults and children.
 

•  Joint pain
•  Loss of appetite
•  Unusual tiredness and weakness
•  Yellow colored eyes or skin
•  Itching
•  Skin rash

• Pyrazinamide must be used with other TB medicines. Tuberculosis can become resistant to treatment if pyrazinamide is used alone. Take all your medicines as prescribed by your doctor.
• This medicine is not recommended in patients with liver impairment or acute gout.
