Borage Oil
Borage seed oil contains a fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). GLA seems to have anti-inflammatory effects. Borage flower might have an antioxidant effect.
Uses
This oil is a rich nutritional source of the omega-6 fatty acid GLA (gamma linolenic acid), GLA is considered an essential fatty acid because the human body cannot make it on its own. Borage seed oil is a wonderful oil for use in massage, skin and hair care
Side Effects
It is safe when applied to the skin appropriately.
Precautions / Concerns
Borage seed oil is unsafe when products containing a dangerous chemical called pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs) are taken by mouth.
