Camylofin is an anticholinergic which relaxes the muscles in the stomach and gut
(intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps,
pain, bloating, and discomfort.
Camylofin is used to relieve symptoms such as a severe stomach pain, bloating,
cramps, etc. associated with various conditions such as blockage of the urinary tract,
bile duct, or the intestine; painful periods, etc.
It may be used alone or in a combination with other medicines based on the clinical
condition of the patient.
Major & minor side effects for Camylofin:
Palpitations (fluttering in chest)
Arrhythimia
Increased Heart Rate
Dry Skin
Excessive Thirst
Dry Mouth
Photophobia
Reduced Bronchial Secretions
Slow heart rate (pulse)
Flushing
Enlarged (dilated) pupils
Difficulty urinating
Constipation
This medicine should be used with caution in the elderly patients since the risk of
adverse effects is significantly high.
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in children since the risk of
adverse effects is significantly high.
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients undergoing a heart surgery or
patients who have recently undergone a heart surgery due to the increased risk of
serious adverse effects.
This medicine should be used with caution in patients receiving medicines for
depression due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of
the patient for any changes in mood or behavior is advised.
