This medication is used to treat heart failure. It is used by adults to help prevent the heart failure from getting worse and needing treatment in a hospital.
It is also used by children who have heart failure due to an enlarged heart (dilated cardiomyopathy).
Ivabradine works by affecting your heart's electrical activity in order to slow the heart rate.

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary.
Use of this medicine may cause symptoms such as dizziness, double vision (diplopia), blurred vision, etc. in some patients.
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
This medicine should be used with extreme caution due to the increased risk of a very low blood pressure.
