L-arginine

The primary ingredient of L-Arginine is L-arginine, which is an amino acid present in the body. L-arginine plays an important role in many vital functions in the human body. 

 

Uses

L-arginine is a nonessential amino acid that may play an important role in the treatment of heart disease due to its block arterial plaque buildup, blood clots, platelet clumping, and to increase blood flow through the coronary artery. L- arginine is commonly sold as a health supplement claiming to improve vascular health and treat erectile dysfunction in men. L-arginine, which is promoted as a human growth stimulant, has also been used in bodybuilding

Precautions / Concerns
  • This supplement should be used with caution in patients with liver diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. 
  • Regular monitoring of kidney function tests is necessary while receiving this supplement.
  • This supplement is not recommended for use in patients who have recently undergone a surgery or are scheduled to undergo surgery in the near future due to the increased risk of alterations in the blood pressure levels. It is advised that you stop the use of this supplement at least 2 weeks prior to a scheduled surgery.
  • This supplement is not recommended for use in patients suffering from a herpes infection due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
N-Acetylcysteine
Vitamin D3

Generic Name: cholecalciferol 

Vitamin D3 is needed for normal absorption of calcium and phosphorus, which is further utilized for development and maintenance of bones and teeth. This makes bones stronger and reduces risk for bone fractures.  Vitamin D3 also has a role in ones nerve, muscle, and immune systems.

People who might need extra vitamin D3 include

  •  Older adult
  •  Breastfed infants
  •  People with dark skin
  •  People with certain conditions, such as liver diseases, cystic fibrosis and Crohn's disease
  •  People who have obesity or have had gastric bypass surgery

 

Uses

Symptoms of vitamin D3 deficiency include bone pain, muscle weakness, fatigue, and mood changes. Vitamin D3 is used for treating osteoporosis, rickets, osteomalacia, renal osteodystrophy and hypoparathyroidism.

L-methylfolate

L-Methylfolate is a naturally occurring form of vitamin B necessary for maintaining
some very important functions in the body. L-Methyl Folate provides essential
nutrients.

Uses

L-methylfolate is a form of a B vitamin used to treat depression,
megaloblastic anemia, and renal and hepatic impairment.
It is used as an adjunctive in treating the decreased folate levels or
hyperhomocysteinemia (high levels of amino acid) in patients with schizophrenia or
depression.

Precautions / Concerns

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women
unless necessary.
This medicine should not be used alone to treat an anemic patient with a history of
vitamin B12 deficiency due to the increased risk of worsening the patient&#39;s
condition.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since
the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Myo-inositol

Myo-inositol may be of benefit for a range of applications related to female health.

Uses

Myo-inositol is one of nine different types of inositol. It is a naturally occurring substance produced in the human body from glucose, although it is not a sugar.

Side Effects

Tiredness, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, flushing, parasthesia, palpitation.

Precautions / Concerns

Avoid if patients are allergic to Myo Inositol. Consult with the doctor during pregnancy & lactation. patients with heart failure & partially or whole body paralysis should not take Myo Inositol.
