Levetiracetam is an antiepileptic medication. It works by attaching to specific sites (SV2A) on the surfaces of nerve cells. This suppresses the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain and prevents the spread of electrical signals that cause seizures.

• Levetiracetam is used to control certain types of seizures in the treatment of epilepsy.
• Levetiracetam is also used to treat tonic-clonic seizures in people who are at least 6 years old, and myoclonic seizures in people who are at least 12 years old.

•  Skin rash
•  Change in skin color

• Levetiracetam may cause changes in mood or behavior, problems with coordination, or unusual tiredness or weakness. 
• This medicine may cause some people to become dizzy, drowsy, tired, or less alert than they are normally.
• This medicine may cause serious allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis can be life-threatening and requires immediate medical attention.Serious skin reactions can occur with this medicine.
