Flurbiprofen is used to relieve symptoms of arthritis (osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), such as inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain. However, this medicine does not cure arthritis and will help you only as long as you continue to take it.

Flurbiprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

• Increased sensitivity of the eyes to light

• This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary.
• The oral form of this medicine should be used with caution in patients with heart diseases, mild to moderate liver impairment, kidney impairment due to the increased risk of adverse effects on the heart, especially after prolonged use. 
• This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of bleeding disorders due to the increased risk of excessive bleeding. 
• The ophthalmic form of this medicine should be used with caution in patients with herpes simplex keratitis due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. 
• Prolonged use of an ophthalmic form of this medicine may result in keratitis, epithelial breakdown, corneal thinning, corneal erosion, corneal ulceration, or corneal perforation in some patients.
• Use of this medicine may cause blurred vision or dizziness in some patients.
• Do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface since this may lead to contamination by bacteria.
• The oral form of this medicine may cause fatal skin allergies without any warnings in some patients.
