Voglibose is an anti-diabetic medicine. It belongs to a group of medicines known as
alpha-glucosidase inhibitors.
It inhibits the intestinal enzymes responsible for breaking complex sugars into
simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose levels from rising very
high immediately after meals.
Voglibose is used to lower blood glucose levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes
Mellitus, especially when other medicines are not able to provide the desired
results.

gastrointestinal diseases like inflammatory bowel disease, colonic ulceration,
partial intestinal obstruction, or any chronic intestinal disease.
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with liver and
kidney diseases.
This medicine is not recommended for use in children since the safety and
efficacy of use are not clinically established
