Clofazimine is used together with other medicines to treat a form of leprosy (also known as Hansen's disease), called lepromatous leprosy, including dapsone-resistant lepromatous leprosy, and lepromatous leprosy complicated by erythema nodosumleprosum.
Clofazimine stops the growth of bacteria in the body.

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary.
This medicine may cause orange-pink to brownish-black discoloration of skin as well as dry skin in some patients.
This medicine may cause severe gastrointestinal symptoms such as bowel obstruction, pain in the abdomen, gastrointestinal bleeding, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. and should be used with extreme caution in patients who have gastrointestinal problems.
