Metformin Hydrochloride
Uses
Used to control blood sugar level in Type 2 diabetes.
Side Effects
Diarrhea, abdominal or stomach pain,
cough or hoarseness, breathing problems, coma and confusion.
Precautions / Concerns
Do not take if patients have breathing problems , blood problems like anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency, liver disease. Alcohol consumption while taking metformin may causes lactic acidosis.
Glimepiride
It works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose.
Uses
Glimepiride is used to treat people suffering from Type 2 diabetes to reduce high blood sugar levels. It is consumed along with a healthy diet and exercise.

Precautions / Concerns
- Don’t take this drug again if you’ve ever had an allergic reaction to it. Taking it again could be fatal.

- Call your doctor if you become pregnant while taking this drug.
- Glimepiride isn’t recommended for people under 18 years old
Sitagliptin Phosphate
Uses
Used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Side Effects
Nasopharyngitis, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of appetite, vomiting, stomach pain, back pain, runny nose, headache.
Precautions / Concerns
Not for minors. Avoid if patients are hypersensitive to Sitagliptin. Consult with your physician during pregnancy & lactation.
