Use of this medicine by pregnant women is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.
This medicine can be used by women who are breastfeeding as the risk of adverse effects of nursing infants are less.
This medicine is not recommended for use in women who are using hormonal contraceptives (pills, patches, vaginal rings, or injections) as the risk of adverse effects are significantly high.
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a history of clotting disorders or have an active disorder.
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a history of any disease where the blood vessels of the eye are obstructed due to clot formation.
This medicine is known to interact with a large number of other medicines that you might be using.
Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring acid. It helps the skin to renew itself more
quickly and therefore reduces pimple and blackhead formation. It also helps to kill
the bacteria that cause acne and rosacea.
Azelaic Acid is used to treat mild-to-moderate acne (pimples). It is used to relieve
symptoms such as bumps, lesions, redness, etc. associated with different forms of
acne.

If you have sensitive skin, you should apply Azelaic acid only once a day for
the first week of treatment and then proceed to twice daily applications.
Before applying the cream/gel, clean the skin thoroughly with plain water
and make it dry.
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth or other inner skin layers (mucous
membranes). In case of accidental contact, wash immediately with large
amounts of cold water.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from asthma
due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
Frequent use of this medicine may alter the skin tone in and around the area
of application. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of
age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
