Nadifloxacin is a topical medication used for the treatment of acne vulgaris and skin infections caused by bacteria.
Nadifloxacin is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.

- Dryness of the skin
- Itching, redness or irritation at application site
- Increased sweating
- Skin blistering
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary.
Use of this medicine may cause allergic reactions in some patients.
It is advised to perform a susceptibility testing prior to the use of this medicine to minimize the chance of developing resistant microorganisms.
This medicine is intended for use on the skin only. Avoid contact of the medicine with your eyes, mouth, or nose.
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 14 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
- Miconazole topical is an antifungal medication. Miconazole topical prevents fungus from growing on your skin.
- It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection.
- Miconazole topical (for the skin) is used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, tineaversicolor (a fungus that discolors the skin), and yeast infections of the skin.
- Miconazolebuccal is a pill placed between your check and gum to treat candida (yeast) infections inside the mouth.
- nausea, vomiting, stomach pain; diarrhea; headache; or changes in your sense of taste.
- Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Some tips for personal hygiene:
- Wash your hands with soap before and after applying the cream.
- Do not share your towel or clothes with anyone.
- Wear clean clothes every day to prevent infection.
- Apply an amount sufficient to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin.
- Treatment may be needed for 2 to 6 weeks for skin infections and 6 weeks to 6 months for nail infections.
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
- Avoid getting it in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
