Gentamicin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Used to treat bacterial infections,respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, eye infection, ear infection and endocarditis.

Neurotoxicity(dizziness, vertigo, tinnitus, roaring in the ears and also hearing loss),Nephrotoxicity Peripheral neuropathy or encephalopathy, including numbness, skin tingling, muscle twitching, convulsions, and a myasthenia gravis-like syndrome

Avoid if you are allergic to Gentamycin. Do not take if patients have myasthenia gravis, parkinson's disease. Do not take with diuretics, cisplatin, amphoteresin,kanamycin, amikacin, neomycin.
