Calcipotriol is a synthetic form of vitamin D belonging to the class of medicines called ‘anti-psoriatics’. It lowers the rate with which skin cells grow, thereby controlling the psoriatic condition.

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless necessary.

This medicine may interact with other medicines and may cause severe adverse effects.

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients receiving ultraviolet radiation treatment for psoriasis due to the increased risk of skin cancer.

This medicine should be used with caution in the elderly patients since the risk of adverse effects is significantly higher. 

This medicine should not be applied on the face since severe itching, redness, or irritation may develop.

This medicine should not be used in patients suffering from hypercalcemia (elevated blood calcium levels) or patients with an evidence of vitamin D toxicity since it may worsen the patient's condition.

Patients are advised to avoid excessive exposure to sunlight (natural and artificial both) during treatment with this medicine.

The serious side effects of Methylcobalamin can include the formation of clots in limbs, depleted levels of potassium in the blood, a buildup of fluid in the lungs, heart failure and in some cases, anaphylactic reactions such as swollen tongue and throat, and hives.
• Consuming Methylcobalamin is not advisable for patients suffering from optic atrophy, which is a nerve condition that affects the eye.
• People who are suffering from infections or patients who have a low iron level in their body should be careful before taking Methylcobalamin and should only do so after the consultation of the doctor.
• It is not advised for mothers to consume Methylcobalamin if they are breastfeeding. Mother’s milk is a rich source of Vitamin B12 and consuming additional supplements while breastfeeding can have adverse effects on the baby.
