Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant. It works by increasing the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating mood and treat depression. It also stops the movement of pain signals from nerves to the brain thereby relieving neuropathic pain.

Used to treat mental problem, depression, relieve nerve pain and bed wetting in Child.

Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, weight gain, skin rashes, pale red, itchy skin rashes.

Avoid during patients are allergic to Amitriptyline. Do not take if patient having heart disease, bleeding problems, breathing problems, liver problems, recent heart attack, problems of urination and seizures.
