Choline Salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) which works
by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and
inflammation (redness and swelling).
Choline salicylate is used to relieve pain, swelling, and discomfort associated with
mouth ulcers.
It is also used for relieving teething pain and pressure pain caused due to dentures.
It should be used with caution in patients less than 16 years of age and only under
the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
Major & minor side effects for Choline salicylate
Wheezing
Shortness of breath
Numbness
Sudden swelling of eyelids, face, throat, tongue
Application site redness, itching, and burning
Usage of this medicine in higher amounts than prescribed may increase the risk of
salicylate poisoning, especially in children.
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients less than 16 years of
age and only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. It is
contraindicated for use in infants below 4 months of age since the safety and
efficacy of use are not clinically established.
